Harvest
Our latest harvest from the farm: broccoli, spinach, kale, & collards. All were started from seed. We had to pull several spinach plants as they were starting to bolt. Despite that, they made a tasty salad. The kale went into a delicious lentil soup. Yum!

Today’s harvest
Kale, collards, and spinach

Greens are growing
The kale and spinach have really taken off. The kale so much so we had to transplant some and give away others to our neighbors.

Indoor farming
We have finally begun some indoor plantings for our farm and for home. Mesclun was started several weeks ago and is just about ready for harvest. Spinach, cilantro, leeks, and pansies started 2 weeks ago and have begun forming their “true” leaves. Planted 1/2 of a new flat yesterday of alpine strawberries, leeks, spinach, dill, peas, and nasturtiums. After listening to Garden Guys we were inspired to try planting carrots indoors. If all goes well we should be able to start harvesting them at the end of April.
